Equine Therapy Helping Hundreds of Veterans

Horses have been used to support the military for hundreds of years. 

In Aberdeenshire, it is veterans who are benefitting from their help.

Horseback UK has helped hundreds of veterans recover from physical and mental illness, through its equine therapy.

The charity teaches former service personnel to build relationships with peers as well as the animals on their residential courses. 

It encourages them to use the skills they learn to help them transition into civilian life.
