Homes For Heroes: Veterans Saved From Threat Of Being Homeless

A former soldier says he and his family could have faced being homeless if it wasn't for the help of a military housing charity.

Terry Morgan was medically discharged from the Army after suffering an injury during his service.

His family had lived in forces accommodation for 16 years and faced an uncertain future when they had to give up their home when Terry left the military.

But they are now settling into a brand new house in Edinburgh thanks to the Scottish Veterans' Garden City Association.

The charity has over 600 homes in 74 locations across Scotland.

It works with local councils and private developers to secure bespoke housing for members of the armed forces who have been injured during their military career.
