Royal Marine Builds New Career In Demolition After Dream Job Cut Short

A Royal Marine who lost the job he loved when he was medically discharged has praised the work of an ex-forces employment charity.

Barney Barnett was given just three months to get ready for civilian life, and to line up a civilian career, after his hearing was damaged by years on operations and exercises.

He sought support from RFEA, the Forces Employment Charity, and is now in a fulfilling career.

Using the people skills and adaptability he developed over his forces career, Barney is now working in the demolition industry as a project manager.
