Veteran Says Scottish Charity Helped Save His Life

An Army veteran says he could have died if it wasn’t for the help of Poppyscotland.

Andy Jarvie ended up on the streets of Inverness after serving in the Royal Engineers for 12 years.

He fell into homelessness and alcoholism.

But he's battling back now after being referred to the charity’s first dedicated facility offering welfare services to veterans in Scotland.

As well as offering their own services, Poppyscotland also hosts other support charities in the centre to give the Armed Forces community access to the vital support in the Highlands of Scotland.
