"I got a lot of inspiration from physical women I saw around like women in the army or athletes or stunt girls"

This is the first Lara Croft: Tomb Raider film since Angelina Jolie starred in the iconic role in 2001.

Speaking to RATED presenter Cassidy Little, a Royal Marine veteran, the actress spoke about how women in the armed forces helped inspire her.

"I think I got a lot of inspiration from physical women I saw around like women in the army or athletes or stunt girls that I've been working with because I love that in this film, we wanted to base the actions on reality but everything that she did was something that a woman of my size, but maybe with a bit more muscle and strength could do!

"So I loved getting that kind of inspiration.

"I trained for 4 months to try and have it. Because that kind of physique was needed for Lara."

The film will be in UK cinemas from 18 March.

You can see all the action from the Tomb Raider red carpet inRATED: Games + Movies, only on Forces TV, every Thursday at 1800.
