The Transformation of Camp Bastion

Over the last eight years, anyone, whether military or civilian who has been on an Op Herrick tour of duty would have either been based at Camp Bastion or traveled through it.

But it won't be how they remember it. With redeployment ahead of target, the base is now a shadow of its former self and it's transitioned from a city to a village.

Laura Hawkins spoke to Lt Col Laurence Quinn who is part of the redeployment team. He was able to show her how the camp has transformed in the last few months.
