Two serving members of the British Army who were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences have been released on bail until a date in late February.
A man in his 30s and another male in his 40s were arrested on Thursday on suspicion of possession of ammunition and conspiracy to steal, police said.
They were detained at two properties in Berkshire by detectives from the Metropolitan Police Flying Squad, supported by the Royal Military Police and MOD Police.
The two men are in custody at a nearby police station.
A Ministry of Defence spokesperson said: "We can confirm that two soldiers have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.
"We are assisting the Metropolitan Police with their investigation."
