Parts of Gibraltar have experienced power outages after a massive rock fall occurred.

The incident took place at Devil's Tower Road junction with Eastern Beach entrance and police are advising the public to avoid the area.

They are also urging the public to avoid Devil's Tower Road unless absolutely necessary.

Temporary access is being provided to some properties in the vicinity as a result of the fall.

Damage was caused to surrounding vehicles and structures.

It is not known whether anyone was hurt.
