Ceremony Marks Respect For American War Dead Ahead Of Memorial Day

The annual American Memorial Day celebrated tomorrow in the U.S. is today marked at the American Battle Monuments Commission at Brookwood in Surrey.

Despite the rain dignitaries from America, The UK, Canada and Israel all joined together with U.S. Air Force Airmen and British Army Soldiers to pay their respects to all American servicemen and women who lost their lives in conflict.

This service is particularly poignant as the U.S. Missions overseas are commemorating the World War One Centennial.

It is the final resting place for 468 American War Dead from the First World War.
