The Coldstream Guards do K-pop outside Buckingham Palace

The Coldstream Guards Band, typically steeped in tradition, surprised spectators by harmonizing to the beats of contemporary K-pop tunes on Wednesday afternoon.
Onlookers were treated to a rendition of 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' - one of Blackpink's most famous tracks, as well as the global mega-hit 'Gangnam Style' by Psy.
The performance was in honour of the South Korean state visit after the Royal family hosted the President and First Lady at Buckingham Palace the night before.
The Royal Family Instagram account captioned the performance with a famous line from the film "Mean Girls", saying: "On Wednesdays, we play Blackpink."
Meanwhile, the "Army In London" captioned the performance as "You’ve not heard anything like this before!"
The King also presented the four members of Blackpink with honorary MBEs for their environmental campaigning as Cop26 Advocates for the Cop26 Summit in Glasgow 2021.
President Yoon Suk Yeol began his state visit on Tuesday, which will include a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and the formal signing of a trade and defence agreement between South Korea and the UK.
His trip Britain coincides with the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the UK and Korea, as well as the 70th anniversary of the armistice of the Korean war.
