'Constructive' Talks Between Iran And World Powers Over Nuclear Deal

Talks between world powers and Iran over the 2015 nuclear deal have been "good" and "constructive", according to the country's deputy foreign minister. 

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Seyed Abbas Araghchi said he could not say that "we resolved everything" but added all the parties were still "determined to save this deal".

Representatives from Germany, France, Britain, China, Russia and the European Union participated in the meeting.

Iran is calling on the remaining parties in the deal to ease sanctions US President Donald Trump reinstated after pulling out of the agreement last year.

Tehran recently surpassed its uranium stockpile and enrichment limits outlined in the deal.

Iran previously said it will reverse its moves if other nations involved in the agreement come up with economic incentives.

In a meeting between French and Iranian authorities last week, France called on Iran to respect the nuclear deal and "make the needed gestures" to de-escalate tensions in the Gulf. 

The talks come amid rising tensions in the Gulf. The US has accused Iran of shooting down one of its drones and attacking oil tankers in the region - something Iran denies.
