Crown Estate To Make £33m On Former MoD HQ

MoD 10 Bloomsbury Way

The former Ministry of Defence (MoD) headquarters at 10 Bloomsbury Way in London is being sold for £33m.

The Crown Estate is selling its freehold interest in the site, which fronts New Oxford Street.

The 10,412 sq ft building will feature six offices and one retail space.

London & Regional Properties, who is letting the site on a long leasehold, will manage the sublettings. 

This is the first time the site has been traded since its construction in 1947.

Built for the MoD as part of the post-war reconstruction of the area, it was substantially extended in 2002.

It comprises of a double height entrance hall, three large roof terraces and changing facilities.

CBRE is advising the Crown Estate.
