Dambuster Is Among The Queen's Birthday Honours

Britain's last surviving Dambuster has been awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours. 95-year-old George ‘Johnny’ Johnson says he's very grateful to the thousands of people who signed a petition calling for his wartime service to be recognised.

The RAF Squadron Leader was part of 617 Squadron, which conducted raids on German dams in 1943.

Double-Olympic rowing champion Major Heather Stanning has received an OBE for her services to sport, along with former SAS soldier turned best-selling author Andy McNab who's been appointed a CBE.

There has also been a posthumous George Medal for PC Keith Palmer. The policeman was stabbed to death while on duty outside Parliament in the Westminster Bridge attack in March
