Donald Trump Mocked By Veterans For Spelling Error

The US president has faced scrutiny on social media over a misspelling of 'Marine Corps'.

In a now-deleted tweet, Donald Trump referred to Marine Corps as the "Marine Core" leading to a backlash from forces veterans on social media.

The tweet was published on Tuesday, but deleted shortly after and replaced with one containing the correct spelling.

Many took to Twitter to mock the commander in chief, those particularly left unsettled by the tweets were veterans.

I served for more than 20 years in the Marine Corps. I know that he doesn't read, but the fact that our Commander-in-Chief doesn't know the difference between a Corps and a "Core" is more than a spelling error.
