Dr Who Christmas Special Hints at WW1 Link

Doctor Who has released a teaser trailer for this years Christmas special, which will be called Twice Upon a Time, at Comicon in San Diego.
Although the trailer is just over a minute long, it hints that part of the story will be taking place in World War One.
It will be the final episode that features Peter Capaldi as the Doctor before Jodie Whittaker, the first female Doctor, takes over in 2018.
Mark Gatiss, who has written ten episodes of Doctor Who since its revival in 2005, will play a First World War soldier known currently as 'The Captain'.
Since the trailer aired there has been lots of speculation as to who 'The Captain' is.
Speaking to Empire he said that 'The Captain' had:
"A resonant echo in the whole Doctor Who story,"
and that it was, "a privilege, an honour and a thrill" to play him.
Fans have several different theories, one being that he might be linked to the War Games, from the 1969 Patrick Troughton series.
Others believe he could be a young version of Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart — or maybe even a relative?
Unfortunately, we have to wait until December to find out, but for now here's the trailer...
