False Alarm! Royal Navy Confirms Power Outage Triggered Nuclear Alarm
The Royal Navy has confirmed a nuclear alarm which was heard tonight in the Torpoint area was in fact a false alarm.
In a statement the Royal Navy say the alarm was triggered by a power outage just outside of HMS Raleigh.
They also said there was:
“No cause for concern.”
The Royal Navy has apologised for the alarm worrying anyone when it sounded briefly at 6pm.
The alarm was reportedly switched off as soon as possible.
