Forces Pay Respects To War Hero Who Died Without Family

Around 100 people have attended the funeral of a war hero who died without any family.

Royal Navy veteran John Craig, 93, survived the Second World War's Arctic convoys, defying Hitler's U-boats and bombers to ferry food to Russia.

A familiar face at remembrance events, his last surviving relative, his wife Joyce, passed away in 2014.

So when he died last month, other veterans and Armed Forces staff decided he deserved a proper send-off.
