Royal Navy personnel on board Type 23 frigate HMS Richmond have found a way to stay active while at sea – playing Swedish Longball.

The sport is a version of cricket and baseball and involves runs, safe zones and, according to HMS Richmond's Twitter page, a lot of confusion.

The ship is currently deployed as part of Carrier Strike Group 21 – led by HMS Queen Elizabeth.

In June, personnel on board HMS Queen Elizabeth used the carrier's flight deck to practise their cricket skills with a session in the nets.
