Future Army Leaders Put To The Test

Future leaders of the British Army have been put through their paces on the battlefield in Germany, testing how they react in the heat of enemy attack.

Out on the Sennelager Ranges, soldiers from 1 Armoured Medical Regiment have spent seven days living in the field and developing their leadership techniques on a Pre Non-Commissioned Officer Cadre.

Situations are intentionally manufactured to provide as realistic experience as possible - the enemy won't always attack when you expect it.

This isn't just a training exercise - their promotion is at stake, so the pressure is on.
