
Royal Gurkha Rifles Conduct Infantry Exercise In New Zealand

Personnel from the Royal Gurkha Rifles are taking part in exercises in New Zealand.
The seven-week-long Exercise Pacific Khukri is a Light Role Infantry Company Group Overseas Training Exercise, being conducted by A Coy 2 Royal Gurkha Rifles.
Taking place at the Tekapo Military Training Area, soldiers are working with the New Zealand Defence Force.
The Royal Gurkha Rifles have a long-established relationship with both 1st and 2nd Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment and the township of Tekapo.

Exercise Pacific Kukhri has taken place every other year in Tekapo for the past 20 years.
The Royal Gurkha Rifles currently have a jungle role Battalion permanently based in Brunei and a Light Role Battalion in the UK as part of 16 Air Assault Brigade.
