Harry Dunn's Family Request Urgent Road Safety Review Around US Bases
The family of 19-year-old Harry Dunn have written to the Defence Secretary requesting an urgent review into road safety around American military bases.
Harry Dunn was knocked down and killed when his motorbike collided with a car outside RAF Croughton last August.
The 42-year-old US suspect in the case, Anne Sacoolas, the wife of a US intelligence official, claimed diplomatic immunity following the crash and was able to return to her home country, sparking an international controversy.
Harry's parents say they want to discuss the steps the Ministry of Defence is taking to ensure it does not happen again.

"We got in touch with them because we feel with the owners of the land have a legal responsibility to look into these entrances and making it safer not just for the UK citizens, but for the American citizens as well," Tim Dunn, Harry's father, told Forces News.
"We can't this just keep going on."
Mr Dunn added he believes the Ministry of Defence "can do more than the councillors because of their situation and their status in the set-up of it all".
"If we sit back and do nothing, we know that the chances are pretty high of that happening again because we know it is still happening with Americans driving on the wrong side of the road," Charlotte Charles, Harry's mother, added.
"We just need the meeting as soon as we possibly can and we need to keep going with a plan forward."

The commander of RAF Croughton this afternoon said road safety is a "top priority".
Colonel Bridget McNamara of RAF Croughton in Northamptonshire said all staff must take a "driver safety course" and pass a written exam based on UK driving laws.
Since Harry Dunn's death, there have been several incidents of vehicles driving on the wrong side of the road outside the RAF base.
Col McNamara has already met with Northamptonshire Police Chief Constable Nick Adderley who has said he will fund driver training for all staff at the base from 12 March.
