Liverpool's Hilarious Reaction To RAF Jet's 'Noisy' Emergency Landing

Some residents in Liverpool will be rather tired today after being woken up by the noise of two RAF Typhoon jets that had to make an emergency landing in the early hours of this morning.
The jets were heading back to base at Lossiemouth but were forced to land in the North West for "urgent refuelling" at around 1am.
Many local residents took to Twitter to express their shock at being woken up.
For some, it was clear the jet engines' noise startled them and for others, the noise came at a really inconvenient time...
But it wasn't just the local residents that felt the effects of the two jets, as it clearly gave our four-legged friends a fright too.
Some were clearly not impressed with the landing and offered up alternative destinations to stop for fuel...
Others were just happy to see... and hear the jets.
From the tweets, it's clear people in Liverpool were not the only ones affected. Carrie said she heard the jets in Blackpool.
At least someone got a good night's sleep...
Luckily confirmation came through that it was two jets, as some were rather worried the noise came from further afield...
The loud noise of the jets nearly caused some to be seriously injured...
And one Twitter user didn't quite believe the jets needed fuel... In fact, they thought the pilots did!
So turns out Liverpudlians still keep their humour even if they are woken up in the middle of the night.
We love you, Liverpool.
