London Marathon 2021: Personnel Running For Military Charity

London Marathon: UK Armed Forces Running For Military Charity

UK Armed Forces personnel will be hitting the streets on Sunday for the London Marathon to help raise money for the military charity Tickets for Troops.

The 20 runners, who will be wearing Tickets for Troops bibs, are hoping to raise over £10, 000.

The charity formed in 2009 and sources tickets for major sports, music and theatre events to give to troops as a gesture of thanks for their support in keeping us all safe.

The 26.2 mile course starts in Blackheath and finishes in the shadow of Buckingham Palace on The Mall.

More than 40,000 runners are taking place alongside a similar number completing the distance 'virtually' via a tracking app on a course of their choosing.

Donations can be made to Tickets For Troops via the charity’s Virgin Money Giving page 'Tickets For Troops London Marathon 2021'.
