Lorry Driver Dies In Collision Involving Three Army Trucks

A lorry driver has died in a collision involving his HGV and three Army trucks in Derbyshire.

The incident happened on the northbound stretch of the A38 close to Mickleover at 13:45 on Wednesday, Derbyshire Police said.

The driver of the lorry, a 53-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham later the same day, the force added.

One of the Army drivers suffered minor leg injuries.

Derbyshire Police has asked anyone with any information or dashcam footage to come forward.
