Man in Court Charged With Murder At Veterans' Centre
A 51-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murder after a man's body was discovered at a centre for veterans at Catterick Garrison.
The body of 34-year-old Craig Guy was found with fatal injuries at The Beacon at the North Yorkshire base last week. It's believed he had been stabbed.
The Beacon centre offers help to veterans in need of housing.
Ian McLaughlin, who has been charged with the murder, appeared via video link from Hull Prison and was remanded back into custody. No plea was entered during the hearing at Teeside Crown Court.
A trial date has provisionally been set for September.
