National Army Museum Reopens After £24 Million Makeover

The National Army Museum in London has reopened to the public today after a revamp costing almost £24 million.

Over the past three years it’s been modified into five thematic galleries.

The museum now boasts the Duke of Wellington’s cloak and the skeleton of Napoleon’s horse.

The multi-million-pound makeover transformed the 1960s building in Chelsea - the museum is now split into  five galleries – Soldier, Army, Battle, Society and Insight.

As well as viewing the displays of memorabilia, visitors can also test their drumming skills, learn what it takes to be a soldier and even have a go at marching.
