NATO Discusses Gender In Conflict
NATO gender advisors from 28 countries have gathered at the headquarters of the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps to discuss upcoming changes to policy.
The alliance says it has done a great deal of work on its gender policy over the last few years but planners need to consider how military decisions impact women, children and other vulnerable groups living in conflict zones.

NATO advisor James Collins told Forces News the issue of female representation also needs to be addressed as women at Allied Command Operations currently stands at just under 8%.
"There's certainly an element of gender balance that needs to be drawn out and it's about the diversity of opinions it brings towards the organisation."
