HMS Sultan Celebrates 60th Anniversary

HMS Sultan, one of the Royal Navy’s foremost training establishments, is celebrating its 60th anniversary.

To mark the occasion the base has been hosting a special lunch and tour for nine former commanding officers.

It began life as the Senior Service's mechanical training and repair establishment in 1956, but since then has grown to take in technical training, marine engineering and the Royal Navy Air Engineering and Survival School.
