New Awards Celebrate Veterans In Business

Veterans and industry leaders have gathered in London for the first Ex-Forces in Business Awards. 

The event aims to highlight the achievements of ex-military who are now succeeding in the business world.

Each year, more than 16,000 military personnel leave the services, yet despite many people going through this transition, it can be a lonely time.

The Ex-Forces in Business Awards hopes to provide a platform for role models, raising the profile of veterans in the wider workforce.  

General Sir Mike Jackson was at the event:

"The common theme is ex-servicemen and women in civilian life, that's the theme amongst all people represented her tonight.

"I can only applaud, we all need a helping hand."
