Only One in 10 Veterans Use Discount Card, Report Says

A huge majority of the 2.5 million-strong veteran community are missing out on the Defence Discount Service, according to an initiative backed by the Ministry of Defence. 

Although 220,000 have signed up for a Defence Privilege Card, which can offer a third off in-store goods, an investigation by The Sun Newspaper claims nine out 10 do not know about it.

Deals are also offered across almost 12,000 businesses, including Lloyds Pharmacy, Toby Carvery and P&O Cruises.

Whether eating out or setting sail abroad, Armed Forces personnel past and present are being urged to take full advantage of the money-saving offers made available especially to them.
