PARAS'10 Marks 10 Year Anniversary

The gruelling PARAS'10 at the Infantry Training Centre in North Yorkshire will hit an outstanding landmark today as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.
The PARAS'10 is a 10-mile endurance race based on The Parachute Regiment's own 10 miler selection at the end of their training.
The gruelling race features a 10-mile march, carrying a 35lb Bergen, water and a weapon- the march must be competed in 1 hour 50 minutes.
Over the last 10 years, over 10,000 runners have taken part over the course.
All proceeds from today’s events will be going to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and The Parachute Regiment Charity.
The well-established PARAS’ 10 is open to individuals and teams of four and began at 11am this morning.
This year features a special 2-miles PARAS’2, designed for children between the ages of eight and sixteen.
The special children’s events will provide them with the exciting opportunity to run around the Paras’ company 2-mile speed march track, giving them a brief taste of Para life!
