Riflemen Feel The Heat In Exercise Desert Warrior
Soldiers from 3rd Battalion The Rifles have been encountering the local wildlife during a break from training in Kuwait. But it's been the smaller insects that have caused concern for the riflemen.
“We've seen a couple of scorpions, which turned out to be quite deadly. But luckily none of the lads have been affected by them.”

Exercise Desert Warrior is the first time in 15 years that British troops have conducted joint training in Kuwait.

Troops from the Kuwait Land Forces and the Kuwait National Guard have been involved in training with 3 RIFLES.
"The way theatres are going, they could end up anywhere in the world so it's good to get them to train with each other.”
Exercise Desert Warrior is being hailed as a demonstration of how both nations can operate in a volatile region.
