Is 'The Rock' About To Join The Royal Navy?

The Rock

No, probably not... but the Royal Navy are trying their hardest to recruit him to their ranks.

And the Coastguard have been fighting them for his services.

This rather bizarre twitter war started when one Twitter user asked if Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, could "actually move a fired torpedo with his hand?"

The question came in response to a scene in the latest instalment of the 'Fast and The Furious' franchise, 'The Fate of the Furious', where The Rock can be seen redirecting a torpedo with nothing but his hand.

The rather responsible question regarding the laws of physics actually got a response from The Rock himself...

That is when the Royal Navy saw the opportunity for a bit of recruitment...

The Rock was quick to reply...

But the Coastguard had other ideas, they thought that The Rock would be far more suited to their line of work...

However, The Rock did not think the Coastguard would be suited to him...

So, that is a no to the Coastguard... but not the Senior Service.

Does that mean that The Rock is messaging the Queen to get permission to come over here and join the Royal Navy?

Someone get on to Her Majesty and let's make this happen!
