Royal Marine Denies Stealing Military Kit And Selling It On Ebay
A Royal Marine has denied stealing kit from his military base in Lympstone, Devon, and selling it online.
Michael Bath has allegedly been stealing £66,000 of clothing and badges from Commando Training Centre between January 1, 2012, and January 31, 2016.
The fraud charges date between January 1, 2015, and January 31, 2016, when the 48-year-old is accused of using the post room at the base to send some of the kit to buyers.
His wife Ingrid and friend Brian Bell, from Northumberland, allegedly helped him handling money from the sales.
All three appeared at Exeter Crown Court via video link from Newcastle, pleaded not guilty to a total of three charges and were released on bail.
According to the Devon Live, an earlier hearing at Exeter Magistrates Court heard that the charges all relate to the alleged sale of stolen items on eBay.
