The Royal Marines Global Challenge: 100 Challenges in 100 Days
The Royal Marines Global 1664 Challenge is a series of events taking place with the aim of 100 Challenges being completed in 100 Days
One of the events planned is the 1664 Mile Run, the number 1664 marking the year the corps was formed.
This is an event which is straddling the whole 100 day period.
This means that every day Royal Marines and Commando units are taking part to run 16.64 miles with all major towns and cities around the UK included in the route.
For the past week, 42 Commando have been running the baton around the South West raising money for the Royal Marines charity and are due to finish at Buckingham Palace.
The challenge will move to Portsmouth now and on to Kent.
