The 2020 Royal Navy International Air Day (RNIAD), which was cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, is being marked online.

The event was due to take place at RNAS Yeovilton on 11 July.

The organisers of the RNIAD event collaborated with Planes TV to create a livestream showcasing the best Air Days displays from the past 20 years.

The 'Air Day - Rewind!' livestream allows audiences to watch performances from aircraft operated by the Royal Navy.

Some of the past performances feature Sea Hawks, Sea Harriers, Sea Kings and the F-35 Lightning jets.

Foreign military fast jets like the French Navy Super Etendards and the Polish Air Force's MiG-29 also feature in the schedule.

Royal Navy personnel, display pilots and operators will be providing commentary throughout the day.

The event can be seen live on the Royal Navy International Air Day Facebook page and other social media platforms.
