Soldiers Welcome The Queen For Royal Week In Scotland

Soldiers from the Scots Guards welcomed Her Majesty The Queen as she arrived for Royal Week in Scotland.

Members of F Company provided the Guard of Honour for Her Majesty as the Ceremony of the Keys took place at her official Scottish residence Holyrood Palace.

The Queen was offered the keys to the city by the Lord Provost during the traditional ceremony and returned them as a gesture of faith in the local administration.

She then inspected the troops lined up on the parade ground in the warm Edinburgh sun.

The ceremony marks the start of a week of official engagement for Her Majesty north of the border.
