A contemporary art installation opens to the public today, a century after work began on RAF Duxford.

Commissioned by a BAFTA award-winning artist, it promises to inform visitors of the history of the base - now the home of Imperial War Museum Duxford.

It's taken around a month to set up and has been described as a 'spectacular sensory art installation', with visitors taken on a journey into the airfield's past and present.

The first ever contemporary art installation at the museum, it's hoped it'll spark more interest in it for centuries to come.
