Thousands Take In The Sights At RNAS Yeovilton Air Day
Thousands of people turned out for the annual Fleet Air Arm display at RNAS Yeovilton. The 70th anniversary included the debut of the world's only flying Wessex Whirlwind.

The 28,000 visitors were also treated to a display by the Royal Navy’s latest aircraft such as the Wildcat attack helicopter.

Flypasts were made by the Red Arrows and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, along with a special appearance by the Swiss Air Force national display team – The Patrouille Suisse.

With no Culdrose Air Day, this was the Fleet Air Arm's only home display.
