Trump To Address Nation On Afghanistan Strategy

US President Donald Trump is planning to address the nation on his strategy for the war in Afghanistan.
Mr Trump met with his national security team over the weekend at Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland to reach an agreement on a strategy.
President Trump then tweeted that he has made a decision and The White House announced he will speak to the country on Monday night from Fort Myer in Arlington, Virginia.
Defence Secretary Jim Mattis, travelling in Afghanistan on Sunday, also said Mr Trump had reached a decision. Mr Mattis declined to discuss specifics before Mr Trump's announcement.
It will be Mr Trump's first formal address as President to the Nation.
This follows controversy following President Trump's comments about racial violence in Charlottesville, Virginia.
