Turkey Warns Syria Against Helping Kurds

Syrian government forces are expected to enter the northern Kurdish-held enclave of Afrin to help Kurdish fighters repel a Turkish military assault that began in January.
Syrian state media reports they will arrive to support residents and defend the territory.
The Kurds have been in control of enclaves south of the Turkish border since Syrian government forces pulled out in 2012, and the Kurdish YPG militia has taken control of other territory after driving out Islamic State fighters.
Turkey regards the YPG as terrorists and has vowed to clear them from the border region.
