US Names Soldier Killed Near Mosul

A US soldier who died while on patrol near Mosul, Iraq, has been named as 1st Lieutenant Weston Lee.
1st Lt. Lee, 25, of Bluffton, Georgia, was killed after an IED detonated.
The infantry officer (pictured above during training last year) had been assigned to 1st Battalion, 325th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division.
It comes as US-backed forces fight to retake Islamic State strongholds in the city.
President Donald Trump, who marked his 100th day in office over the weekend, said he would prioritise the destruction of the group during last year's presidential election campaign.
