US Servicemen In UK Court Battle Agree Daughters Can Stay In England

Two American servicemen who became embroiled in an English family court dispute with the mother of their children have reached a settlement, a judge has been told.

The men had taken legal action after the woman left America and moved the two girls, who have the same mother but different fathers, to a new home in England.

They asked a judge in London to rule the girls, aged seven and four, should be returned to America.

But Mr Justice Holman has been told the men have now agreed the children should stay in England with their mother.

Detail has emerged in a ruling on the latest stage of the litigation, by Mr Justice Holman following a private hearing in the Family Division of the High Court in London.

He has not identified anyone involved.

The judge said both men were serving in the American forces and one was based in Japan.
