Veterans Set Up "Tongue In Cheek" Political Party

A new political party that based its name on a pun involving vomiting and diarrhoea, has sparked hilarity on social media.
The Democrats and Veterans Party, or D and V party, was set up by ex-service personnel.
They have said that they already have 321 candidates ready to run for office in local elections.
Although the pun might be interpreted by some as a faux-pas, the party said it was deliberate and points to the fact that the state of politics today was "making them that sick".
Chairman Gavin Felton said: "It's all tongue in cheek, we're ex-squaddies so we know what it means and knew it was going to come up.
"We have a sense of humour. Politics is a serious business but there's a severe lack of humour."
The party is yet to be approved by the Electoral Commission, but already has a pro-Brexit stance, and is due to be launched on 9 February.
Mr Felton said: "Our MPs, when we get some, will vote in line with their constituents".
