IS Video Footage Shows Deaths Of Four US Soldiers

The so-called Islamic State has published a video apparently showing an ambush in Niger in which four US soldiers were killed.
The ambush took place last October; it is not clear why the release of the video has taken place now.
The raw footage used in the video shows images seemingly filmed on a helmet camera belonging to a US soldier and suggests that the attack was carried out by IS militants.
Images at the start of the video show an apparent pledge of allegiance to IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
The deaths of the US troops were widely reported on at the time, and caused some controversy when the widow of one soldier said President Donald Trump had told her that her husband “knew what he signed up for”.
The video also shows the armed militants walking through a desert area towards the ambush, the BBC reports.
It then shows the militants and US troops exchanging fire, before picturing one soldier who is apparently dead.
Fighting then continues until the other soldiers have been killed.
