WATCH: Close Call For US Aircraft As It Is Intercepted Over Black Sea

A US military aircraft had a close call over the Black Sea when it was intercepted by a Russian SU-27.

The United States says the EP-3 Aries was flying in international airspace at the time when the Russian jet conducted two high-speed passes which they say were unsafe.

The intercept lasted around 25 minutes according to the US Navy, with the EP-3 experiencing turbulence.

The US Navy says their aircraft was operating within international law and that they did not provoke the response by the Russian fighter.
