Watch: Soldiers from the 1st Battalion Duke of Lancaster's Regiment rehearse for the coronation.

The 1st Battalion Duke of Lancaster's Regiment will be sending 24 soldiers stationed in Cyprus to take part in the coronation of King Charles III.

As part of the infantry and being a Regional Standby Battalion on the British Overseas Territory, ceremonial duties are not their primary role, but these soldiers will travel to the UK for final rehearsals and to have the King's cypher added to their ceremonial uniforms before the main event.

The 1 Lancs soldiers are just some of the 6,000 military personnel who will take part in the historic event on Saturday 6 May.

In the video above, Forces News spoke to some of the soldiers during rehearsals in the Cyprus sunshine.
