Royal Navy flagship HMS Queen Elizabeth returns to sea after leaving Portsmouth

Royal Navy flagship HMS Queen Elizabeth has set sail from Portsmouth naval base.

People gathered on the city's Round Tower to see off the ship and her crew as they return to sea for routine training.

BFBS Forces News broadcasted the 65,000-tonne aircraft carrier's departure live on YouTube, which you can rewatch below.

HMS Queen Elizabeth underwent repairs earlier this year following an issue with one of her propeller shafts.

Her sister ship HMS Prince of Wales is also currently at sea, taking part in Exercise Strike Warrior in the North Sea.
