The Princess of Wales celebrates her 44th birthday today, a year after she resumed her royal duties following her treatment for cancer.

To mark the occasion, BFBS Forces News has compiled a gallery of pictures of the Princess, taken at events she attended, including military ones, in the last 12 months.

Kate holds numerous military titles, including Colonel of the Irish Guards, Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm, Royal Honorary Air Commodore of RAF Coningsby, sponsor of HMS Glasgow and Colonel-in-Chief of 1st Queen's Dragoon Guards, known as the Welsh Cavalry.
