Where is Prince Harry's uniform?

Prince Harry made his first visit to the UK in over a year in June to take part in events marking the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Over four days, the UK acknowledged the record-breaking 70-year reign of Queen Elizabeth II with an additional bank holiday, a jubilee-themed pageant in London, the lighting of beacons and a traditional Trooping the Colour parade at Horse Guards.
It was at that initial event, formally known as the Queen's Birthday Parade, that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seen looking on through windows in the building overlooking the parade as members of the Irish Guards 'trooped' their new colour.

However, unlike his brother, the Duke of Cambridge, Prince Harry was seen not wearing a uniform, opting for a smart lounge suit instead.

Is Prince Harry allowed to wear a military uniform?
The Duke of Sussex spent a decade as an officer in the British Army.
During his time in the Army, Prince Harry was cap-badged Blues & Royals but also spent time attached to the Army Air Corps as an Apache helicopter pilot.
In February 2008, the Ministry of Defence confirmed that Prince Harry had been serving with the British Army in Helmand, Afghanistan, for more than two months as part of Operation Herrick.
At the time, a Clarence House statement said: "Prince Harry is very proud to serve his country on operations alongside his fellow soldiers and to do the job he has been trained for."
Prince Harry returned to Afghanistan in 2012 while holding the rank of captain.
As he was known, Captain Wales served this tour as an Apache attack helicopter co-pilot gunner as part of the UK Joint Aviation Group.
Like all ex-members of the Armed Forces, Prince Harry does not wear uniforms associated with his prior military service now he has returned to civilian life.

When could Prince Harry wear a military uniform?
Prince Harry announced in 2020 that he wished to step down as a working member of the Royal Family.
Although the Duke retains his HRH status, he has not been permitted to use the style since his announcement. He subsequently relinquished his military titles, including Captain General of the Royal Marines.
Under normal circumstances, where Prince Harry continued representing the Queen, he would, due to those titles, be entitled to wear military uniforms.
Of course, like everybody who leaves the Armed Forces, he could always join back up, which would, once again, permit him to wear military uniforms.
The British Army recruitment website states that if you "served in the Army Reserve or the Regular Army, you can re-join even if you left under the Armed Forces Redundancy Scheme".
The site also confirms that the opportunity to re-join the service is open to veterans up to the age of 57.
